The thought of surgery can be daunting as you prepare your pet for their upcoming procedure. Our veterinary team offers a range of surgeries most other hospitals in Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph and the surrounding areas do not. You can trust our veterinarians, who have years of surgery experience, to successfully perform your pet’s surgery.
What types of surgeries do you perform?
Our team can perform a wide range of surgeries in our state of the art facilities, equipped with our expert team of veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians. If necessary, we can even bring in board-certified surgeons for certain procedures. Some of our procedures include:
- Cystotomy for bladder stones
- Spaying and neutering
- Exploratory laparotomy
- Perineal urethrostomy
- Orthopaedic surgeries of all kinds
- Gastric torsions
- Cesarean section
- Laceration repair
How do you ensure pets’ safety during surgery?
Before your pet’s procedure, we do a pre-surgery exam, which includes a physical and bloodwork to ensure there’ll be no complications. While our veterinarians carry out the surgery, our Registered Veterinary Technicians are responsible for monitoring the surgical procedure and anesthetic. This ensures the safest care at all times. We also use respiratory and blood pressure monitors to track your pet’s vitals. Your pet’s anesthesia is individually tailored to meet their needs and prioritize their safety. We also provide a recovery nurse to ensure your pet isn’t afraid or stressed in the recovery room. If you have questions about your pet’s post-operative care, please contact us at 519-624-9760.
