Dr. Caitlin attended the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) and graduated with honours in 2014. After graduation, she became an associate veterinarian in a private, mixed animal practice. In 2017, she returned to OVC and completed a nutrition residency through the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN) and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Science (DVSc) degree in September 2020. Dr. Caitlin then joined OVC as Assistant Professor and held the Nestle Purina Professorship in Companion Animal Nutrition. She was service chief for the OVC-HSC Clinical Nutrition Service and taught nutrition to students in all four phases of the DVM program.
She has joined the team at Animal Hospital of Cambridge as a full-time Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist. With her shared time between in-clinic consultations and telemedicine, Dr. Caitlin can support pets nationwide. Regardless of a pet's location, access to specialized nutritional guidance is now available for both pet parents and veterinarians (with vet-to-vet consultations). Dr. Caitlin has a 9 year old Boxer Mastiff named Pilot whom she rescued as a puppy after being attacked by another dog that left him blind in both eyes.
