The Animal Hospital of Cambridge is pleased to offer video and text-based remote consultations with patients in the Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Orangeville and Greater Toronto Area. 

Using our new, online platform, patients can quickly connect with a member of our professional veterinary team. Only when necessary will patients be triaged in-clinic for further diagnostic care. 




Appointments are 15 minutes in length and are $50/appointment.

Animal Hospital of Cambridge understands that the impact of Covid-19 (Corona Virus) and how it affects people and their pets is top of mind these days.  We will remain open 7 days a week from 8am to 9pm, however please consult our website and Google Business page in case of any necessary changes.      

  We will continue to provide pet care to the community while taking the necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our staff, clients and their pets.   We will be following guidelines for best practices from our local, national and international health authorities to help limit the exposure and spread of this virus.  

We request your patience, as we will be doing our best to keep up with the demands of our clients needs during this critical time.   The service and care we offer could be affected by delays in delivery of medications, medical supplies and prescription pet foods.  Requests for food and medication refills can be emailed to ahoc.orderdesk@gmail.com

 Plan For Delivering Veterinary Care 
During The Covid-19 Pandemic

In an effort to minimize exposure to our staff and adhere to social distancing recommendations.    Quick appointments will be performed in a "DROP-OFF” contact-less manner such as;  nail trims, anal gland expression, and blood tests.

  Client's who have an appointment with the Veterinarian will be permitted to wait in our lobby as long as they are wearing a mask and have used hand-sanitizer on their way into the clinic which is provided in the vestibule.      At this time we are NOT accepting walk-in appointments.  

The following is a summary of what you can expect for an appointment.


·  Upon arriving to the clinic you can now walk into the main entrance of our  building and enter the doors to the left for appointment check in, or enter the doors to the right to pick up food orders and medications.  Please respect social distancing while inside the clinic.

·     Quick appointments:     A staff member will gather pertinent information about your pet’s condition over the phone. You will be asked to bring your pet into the front entrance vestibule ( dog on leash / cat in carrier) one client at a time.   A staff member will greet you to  take your pet into the hospital where the procedure can be done.  We will contact you for payment and to make arrangements to return your pet to you outside.


- Owners wearing a face mask with pets who have an appointment to see the Veterinarian can sit in our lobby.  We ask that you remain in your chair, 1 owner per appointment is requested.       A technician will take your pet to our treatment area to see the vet.   At this time due to confined space in exam rooms it is hard to practice social distancing.  Once your pet has been examined, we will return your pet to you and go over any discharge instructions. 

As the crisis develops, some pet owners could be in a situation where their pets are ill, but they cannot leave their homes.  Animal Hospital of Cambridge is also offering Veterinary Telemedicine  to triage sick patients and provide direction about accessing veterinary care. In addition, you can phone us at 519-624-9760 or send us an email request to join at ahoc.orderdesk@gmail.com to ask for an invite to shop in our E-Boutique and choose  delivery of your pet foods, toys, treats and more right to your home or office.  

 Requests for food & medication pick-ups can also be done by emailing in your order to ahoc.orderdesk@gmail.com ( checked Monday to Friday),  please allow 24-48 hours for special orders.  Compounded medications can take 4-7 days to arrive.   We will notify you when your order is ready.   Call us when you are here to pick your items up and we will bring your order out to your car /trunk.      Thank you for your continued patronage during these uncertain times.
